In April 2019, Everlane decided to create a new kind of sneaker brand that make the world’s lowest-impact sneakers, Tread by Everlane. Upon their release, 500+ seeding boxes were sent to influencers, ambassadors, and friends of the brand.

With only a small batch being made, we had the opportunity to create special packaging for our friends and family of the brand. Since this sneaker was made entirely with recycled material, we used the same thinking for our packaging. We were able to use only two materials: 100% recycled cardboard and Green Cell Foam (made entirely from cornstarch).
